World Affairs' Education Program offers Bay Area students
the opportunity to engage with international affairs through the Ambassador
Program, Summer Institute, Policy Simulation and many more. Upon completing
these programs, you will have developed a skill set that helps to prepare you
for success in college and beyond. The rigorous curriculum fosters global
awareness and skills such as public speaking, leadership, and critical
thinking.
To recognize students
with an exceptional commitment to World Affairs and the global community, the
Education Program has created the Certificate of Global Citizenship.
Students are eligible to
receive the certificate by successfully participating in and completing the
following:
- 5 International
Career Mentor Webinar, and
- either the Summer
Institute or Student Ambassador program
- Attending 10 virtual (or in person) public
programs at World Affairs or affiliate Chapters
- Completing 10
hours of community service or submitting a short 3-5 minute video about a global issue documenting your activism
- Composing five reflections
about your experiences
Students who complete
the above will receive a certificate and recognition at the Annual Dinner later this year.
